EFCC Invites Kingsley Kuku, GEJ's Aide On Amnesty Program, Over Corruption Allegations

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited Mr Kingsley Kuku over corruption allegations as head of the Niger Delta amnesty program under former President Goodluck Jonathan’s government.
 
Daily Trust reports that the Former Adviser on Niger Delta Affairs to President Jonathan, Kuku has been invited for questioning at the head offices of the EFCC in Abuja.
 
Kuku and two others are said to be wanted by the EFCC to explain allegations of embezzlement and diversion of hundreds of million naira public funds.
 
Kuku is expected for questioning at the EFCC office on Tuesday 28th July 2015.
 
When contacted, the spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren confirmed that Kuku has been invited by the anti graft agency.
 
It was also gathered that the EFCC has also quizzed a former Special Assistant to President Jonathan on Schools and Agriculture Programme Baraka Sani.
 
She was said to have been grilled for over 10 hours by operatives of the EFCC on the 22nd of July over allegations that she diverted funds meant for schools agriculture programe.
 
According to Daily Trust, she was let go, after promising to return with documents that will help her explain her involvement in the alleged scam.
