It’s time to break free from every limitation — Lawmaker, Mojisola Alli – Macaulay, says to celebrate International Women’s Day

A Lagos lawmaker, Honourable Mojisola Alli – Macaulay has said that it’s time for women to break free from every limitation holding them back.

The lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin Constituency 1, made the remarks during the recent International Women’s day celebration.

“It is time to break free from every limitation holding you back to fight against gender inequalities, to abjure cowardice and embrace courage,” the lawmaker says.

Honourable Alli Macaulay was encouraging women around the world in commemoration of the International Women’s day Celebration.

  1. That is a commendable efforts at speaking to women at the Celebration of International Women’s Day.

    Instead of talking and spurring women up those women already in the corridors of power can do more in bringing up more women through development of institutions that will enhance the status and position of women and making them more politically conscious and arming them to be less dependent of men and granting them more freedom and access to effectively compete and be part of the societal setting.
    This is achievable and is best to be done.
    More of actions than talking is the key to raising woken status.

    • I agree with you absolutely Mr Obinna. We need more action than mere talking.. But at least she’s coming out to make her deep opinions known. That’s commendable. I hope others can join her and the. These politicians can go beyond mere talking to carrying out positive actions at creating a difference for the women folks
