PHOTOS: Attahiru’s wife, others pay final respects as COAS, military personnel laid to rest

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, and the 10 military officers who died on Friday have been laid to rest yesterday.

Attahiru and the 10 officers were on board the Beachcraft 350 aircraft that crashed at the Kaduna International Airport on Friday.

Service was held at the National Mosque in Abuja for Attahiru and those of Islamic faith among the victims of the crash.

A similar service also held at the Nigerian Air Force Protestant Church in Abuja for the Christians among the victims.

They were all laid to rest at the military cemetery in Abuja.

The wife of the late COAS, family members and sympathisers were present to pay their last respect to the deceased at the ceremony.
