Teni Apata, the Nigerian singer, says the gunshot incident at an event where she performed in Port Harcourt, Rivers state was not a case of attempted kidnap as claimed.
The ‘Hustle’ singer had fled the stage after violence broke out while she was performing over the weekend in Buguma Town, Asari-Toru LGA of the state.
The incident, which led to a stampede, disrupted the event as music lovers at the venue scampered for safety.
Some reports had claimed that the gunshot scare was a kidnap attempt on the ‘Case’ crooner.
But in a post via her Instagram story, Teni said the stampede was due to a fight at the event venue, not a kidnap attempt.
