Aisha Buhari, first lady, has presented gifts to the “first baby of the New Year”, said to have been delivered around 12am in the federal capital territory (FCT).
Hosea Bemi and his wife, Esther, who received gifts from the first lady, had their baby om Saturday at the General Hospital in Bwari, FCT.
According to NAN, Aisha was represented by Mairo Al-Makura, special assistant to the president on the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM).
Speaking during the visit, she urged mothers to “take adequate care of their babies to ensure healthy growth and development through immunisation, exclusive breastfeeding and provision of proper nutrition”.
