Dear Mr Gbadebo, let me start by first appreciating your guts and the traction you’ve pulled in the course of this electioneering course till date.

Obviously, it will be a disservice not to appreciate the influence your alignment with Labour Party and Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate has pumped into your personage and ambition.
Destiny sure has an appointment with you and I very much hope you’d live up to your destiny’s expectations.

To start with and just with the hope that it’ll boost your morale, my name is written up there and I’m a Yoruba born from all sides, raised in Lagos and I am glad to notify you that I’m not falling for the tribal and ethnic, incompetence and lack of capacity stories being vehemently spinned around your candidacy.

An Open Letter To Mr Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour

As a matter of fact, I am a Yoruba who’s willing to to put my over 4 decades of living on the line to cast my vote for you and convince as many people I can within my circle of influence to vote for you at the polls on Saturday.

You have my endorsement bro.

I believe there are many of us out there like that who are either passive or or active like I am towards your candidacy. If it’ll please you to know, I am not a politician as I belong to no political party.

This is not a political sycophancy story, but one born out of a desire for a change of order and paradigm shift in the governance of the once capital state of Nigeria.

The campaigns of calumny, tribalism and ethnicity in recent weeks had almost shaken my resolution about you, but my redemption from that line of thought has been, how come all of a sudden these same people are fighting for my interest they’ve not fought for in the past at least 4 years?

I sincerely wish you God speed in the coming polls and whichever way it pans out, please note that Providence will continually need you in the scheme of the thirst for a better Lagos. I don’t see you as an opportunist, but as a vessel in the hand of providence and you must never loose sight of that brother.

The coming days will be tense, may be dramatic, and the suspense can be draining, irrespective of what happens, please know that there are many like me in Lagos and we cut across all age that believes in you.

Of course our alignment with you is just to test run you for four years if you make it to be the governor, as our criticism of and demand of you will certainly be higher than we made or are making of your predecessors. I am not your forever fan, just a timeline fan.

The fact that you can dream and pursue this ambition, is already enough proof that you can achieve it and succeed at it.

Dream. Believe.. Achieve…
