The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, has lambasted the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led federal government, saying it has failed to tackle corruption and insecurity ravaging the country, especially the Northeast.

Buhari, according to Daily Trust,  during his short visit to Imo State Government House, Owerri, accompanied by the national chairman of APC, Chief John Odegie, Sen. Chris Ngige and his campaign director, Governor Rotimi Amaechi among others, described the present administration of President Goodluck Jonathan as a failure.

The APC Presidential candidate vowed to deal with the corrupt officials if elected the next president of the country.

Buhari recalled that as a former head of state, his administration took frantic steps in tackling corruption by refusing to remove subsidy in petroleum adding that during his period N1.00.00 was equivalent to $1.4.

“What the PDP people want is to remain in power and they don’t care about what concerns other Nigerians,” Buhari added.
