Dr. Fatima Urges Nigerian Peace Ambassador to Finland, Amb. Godwin Apple, To Alleviate Sufferings Of Lawo Community In Niger State

The people of Lawo community in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State of Nigeria are still living in their stone age lives in the present modern civilization.

Her Excellency Ambassador Dr Fatima Ibrahim, (Mama President Christians and Muslims Inter-religious Peace Foundation), National Amira Fitiyunal Islam of Nigeria and yar’jakadiyan Nupe revealed this in her meeting with the Nigerian Peace Ambassador to Finland, His Excellency Amb. Agim Godwin Apple at Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja in Nigeria recently.

She said, ‘The people of Lawo communities are not only facing food and water shortage , but every other social amenities necessary for human standard living. These include medical and education for both the children, teens and adults in the areas’.

According to her, the next step will be to help the people through the Non Governmental Organizations and foreign aides.

In his reply, Ambassador Agim promises to rally efforts on alleviating the sufferings of the people of the area, including assisting in financing of the proposed Early Child Development Centre established in the area.

He added that he plans to use counterpart funding for the project.

‘I have passion for children and the elderly and the Better Plan Program in line with the United Nation’s Child Legislature will attract the UNICEF and other international bodies for the projects implementation,’ and Ambassador Agim said.
