traditional ruler in Lagos state, the Baale of Ipakodo, Alhaji Tijani Awoyemi has been arrested by men of the Nigerian police alongside three others for their alleged involvement in the murder of four family members on Sunday at Ibeshe area of Ikorodu. The three others identified as Junior Christian, Owoyemi Bamidele and Alhaji Alaka Abayomi were taken away by the police. It was gathered that the family of four were brutally murdered on Sunday at a house located in an isolated area of a bush at Ibeshe. The deadly shrine in the area believed to be the domain of the dreaded Badoo cult group was uncovered in the early hours of yesterday, in an operation led by Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, Imohinmi Edgal. According to a report by PM News, the Baale of Ipakodo, Alhaji Tijani Awoyemi was arrested for allowing his domain to be used as a den for ritual shrines while Alhaji Alaka was said to be the owner of the shrine. A policeman who took part in the arrest said, “We have arrested the owner of the shrines located in the thick forest of Agboowa, Ikorodu. We have also arrested three others, including the operator of the shrines.
