Edo Man Catches Wife Sleeping With Lover In An Hotel

A couple from Benin, Edo State, on Saturday caused a stir in Ibadan, Oyo State, when the husband beat his wife to stupor after he caught her “making love” with a lady in a hotel.

The incident occurred at a popular hotel in the Ekotedo area of Ibadan metropolis where, according to sources, the 28-yearold woman identified as Martha, was caught.

The woman, who came to Ibadan from Benin, had visited her stepfather who invited the couple for a discussion over a misunderstanding between them, which was amicably settled.

After the intervention of the stepfather, Martha was said to have lodged at a hotel for the night because her husband had other engagements to attend to in town.

Trouble, however, started when her husband, Dickson, who had checked on her early in the morning, allegedly caught her sleeping with a lady.

Angered by the sight, Dickson reportedly pounced on his wife and beat her to stupor. It was the noise of the woman that woke up the people in the area who later intervened.

They were said to have expressed surprise when they got the hint of what led to the scuffle, though the battered woman denied the story.
