El-Rufai Denies N90bn Asset Report, Threatens To Sue Newspaper
Kaduna state governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has threatened to take a legal action against a newspaper publication (not SKYTREND NEWS) for allegedly publishing falsehood against him.
The newspaper had in its Thursday edition, published a story that the governor had declared his assets and that he is worth N90 billion with 40 mansions in Abuja and Kaduna.
However, the governor in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Samuel Aruwan described the publication as spurious, adding that there was no iota of truth in the report.
The statement said the governor was "dismayed by the blatant falsehood published in the newspaper and has consequently directed his legal team to vigorously enforce his rights to protect his reputation from the vandalism of irresponsible hacks."
