The federal government, on Thursday, began the mass vaccination of internally-displaced persons (IDPs) against COVID.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony in Abuja, Faisal Shuaib, executive director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), said the move is in fulfillment of the federal government’s commitment to ensuring that every eligible Nigerian and everyone in Nigeria has access to the COVID-19 vaccines.
“Our special attention on the IDP camps underscores the government’s recognition of the vulnerable conditions of our friends and families who are temporarily here,” he said.
Shuaib said the administration of the COVID vaccine booster shot will commence on Friday (Yesterday).
