BREAKING NEWS: NAF Launches Devastating Precision Airstrikes, Cripples Bandit Networks

The Nigerian Air Force has carried out two lethal precision air interdiction missions in Zamfara State, delivering a major blow to armed bandit networks and destroying what the military described as critical operational and bomb-making hubs.

The strikes, executed on December 28, 2025, targeted Turba Hill and Kachalla Dogo Sule’s Camp in Tsafe Local Government Area, long identified as safe havens for violent criminal groups terrorising communities in the North-West.

Intelligence Triggered the Strike

According to the NAF, the missions were launched following multiple-source intelligence that confirmed the locations as key operational bases for bandits responsible for recent deadly attacks.

The Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, said the intelligence revealed sustained activity, movement of armed elements, and infrastructure directly linked to terror operations.

Bomb Factory Destroyed at Kachalla Dogo Sule’s Camp

The airstrike on Kachalla Dogo Sule’s Camp reportedly targeted a notorious Improvised Explosive Device (IED) manufacturing centre, allegedly used to plan and execute attacks along the Dan Sadau–Magami axis.

NAF said precision munitions struck multiple active structures, triggering intense fires that destroyed the facilities and neutralised several bandits, effectively crippling the group’s ability to manufacture and deploy IEDs.

Turba Hill Hideout Flattened

The second strike hit Turba Hill, another confirmed bandit enclave. Persistent aerial surveillance reportedly revealed heavy human presence and a central zinc-roofed structure believed to coordinate operations.

The Air Force said the structure was successfully destroyed, with several bandits neutralised in the process, dealing another significant setback to criminal operations in the area.

Military: Bandit Capabilities Severely Degraded

NAF described the twin strikes as a major operational setback for bandit groups in Zamfara, particularly in their capacity to conduct bomb attacks and coordinate violence.

“These decisive air strikes reaffirm our unwavering commitment to deny criminal elements safe havens, degrade their combat effectiveness, and restore lasting peace across the North-West,” the statement said.

Part of Wider Offensive Under Operation Fansan Yamma

The missions form part of the Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma, Sector 2, as the military sustains an aggressive campaign against banditry and terrorism in the region.

NAF noted that the strikes followed an earlier precision operation on December 14, 2025, in the Southern Tumbuns–Lake Islands axis, where terrorist logistics facilities were destroyed.

Air Power Takes Centre Stage

The Air Force reiterated that intelligence-driven precision strikes remain central to its strategy — aimed at dismantling terror networks while minimising civilian harm and restoring confidence in volatile communities.

Why This Matters

With bandits increasingly relying on IEDs and fortified hideouts, the latest airstrikes signal a shift toward relentless, intelligence-backed air dominance, raising pressure on criminal networks across the North-West and intensifying the fight for territorial control.
