The NYSC Coordinator in Niger State, Mrs. Theresa Arokoyo, said such an incident would not have occurred if the NYSC had a permanent orientation camp in the state. Arokoyo said that the temporary orientation camp was porous, adding that the incident was not the first time as the camp had always been vandalised each time corps members were on break. “This development always compels the NYSC authority to spend extra money each time we resume for orientation,’’ she said. The Niger State Acting Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ketso, said that the government was making efforts to ensure that the permanent orientation camp is ready before the end of 2017. He urged corps members to use their services as a tool for national unity.
