Nigerian singer and songwriter Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, known professionally as Joeboy has lost a huge sum of N3 million following Arsenal’s unexpected victory over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals clash.
The match, which took place on Tuesday night, saw Premier League side Arsenal stun La Liga giants Real Madrid with a dramatic win of 3-0.
While many Arsenal fans celebrated the iconic moment, it was a different story for Joeboy, who had high hopes for the Spanish team.
Before the match, Joeboy had publicly displayed his support for Real Madrid as he went ahead to stake a N3 million bet on the Spanish LaLiga side. He joyfully shared the bet screenshot on his X (formerly Twitter) handle where he revealed that he would win N10 million.
He also mocked his colleagues Odumodu Blvck and Wizard Chan who are Arsenal fans as he promised to give them N2m each if he won the bet.
