Miss Nigeria winner, Shatu Garko, responds to critics

Shatu Garko, the new Miss Nigeria, has responded to her critics by stating that they can talk all they want, but the Miss Nigeria crown is already on her head.

In an interview, Shatu responded to her critics, claiming that she has been receiving a lot of messages through her DM.

“No one has called me,” Garko said in an interview on Friday, “but I’ve gotten so many comments and DMs that ‘I was naked,’ ‘I’m doing the wrong thing.”

According to the Kano State native, Nigerians enjoy passing judgment on others, and many have ignorantly alleged that the President and Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, paid for her to be crowned Miss Nigeria.

“Some people who are not even Muslims said that I’m spoiling the Miss Nigeria culture. Honestly, I don’t reply them, I don’t say anything, I just move on. The crown is already on my head so there is nothing I can do,” she added.
