The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has fixed March 7 for the conduct of its primary for the Osun governorship election.
The development was announced yesterday in a statement issued by Umar Bature, PDP national organising secretary.
The national working committee (NWC) of the PDP had, on January 10, named a five-member screening panel chaired by Mohammed Bello Adoke, former attorney-general of the federation, for the 2022 governorship primary in the state.
The panel had cleared all aspirants for the exercise.
According to Bature, a stakeholders’ meeting on the forthcoming election will hold on February 1 in Abuja, while ward congresses to elect delegates will take place two weeks after the meeting.
