Presidential aide Daniel Bwala says Peter Obi will not emerge as presidential or vice presidential candidate of the ADC, insisting the former Anambra governor is politically finished and stranded.

No ADC Ticket, No Coalition – Bwala Declares Peter Obi Stranded

The Presidency has thrown political dynamite into the opposition space. A senior aide to President Bola Tinubu has declared that Peter Obi’s 2027 ambition is effectively over, describing the former Labour Party candidate as politically stranded, abandoned by allies, and shut out of the ADC presidential race.

Presidency Unloads on Obi’s 2027 Ambition

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has ruled out any chance of Peter Obi emerging as either presidential or vice presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress.

Speaking during a podcast interview, Bwala said Obi lacks the political capacity to lead or coordinate any coalition movement.

Lost Structure, Lost Power

Bwala argued that Obi’s political structure collapsed immediately after the 2023 general election. He questioned how many lawmakers still identify with Obi in the National Assembly, suggesting that the once visible movement has evaporated.

According to him, politics rewards organisation and continuity, not viral moments.

No Governors, No Ground Game

The presidential aide claimed Obi currently enjoys no backing from sitting governors or elected officials. He said even the one governor once linked to Obi has since aligned elsewhere, leaving Obi isolated in the power map.

In his view, influence without elected allies is political noise, not strength.

Post 2023 Election Failures

Bwala insisted that every candidate Obi supported in elections held after 2023 failed at the polls. He described this as evidence that Obi’s popularity does not translate into electoral success.

He argued that winning elections requires machinery, not online enthusiasm.

Social Media Muscle Versus Electoral Reality

Bwala took aim at Obi’s supporters online, accusing them of coordinated attacks while lacking real world political impact. He said the so called online army creates an illusion of dominance that disappears on election day.

He added that the same supporters ignore Obi’s own record of party switching while condemning others.

Party Hopping Accusation Returns

Revisiting Obi’s political history, Bwala listed his movement from PDP to APGA, back to PDP, and later to Labour. He said this undercuts Obi’s credibility on loyalty and consistency.

According to him, Obi is now caught between ADC and Labour, accepted fully by neither.

ADC Ticket Is Not Available

Bwala made a definitive claim that Obi will not secure either the presidential or vice presidential ticket of the ADC. He also said Obi will not contest on the Labour Party platform.

He predicted Obi would eventually surface on a different political platform altogether.

Six Million Votes Will Not Repeat

The presidential aide dismissed Obi’s 2023 vote count as a one time surge driven by protest sentiment. He said Obi would struggle to secure even a quarter of those votes in another election.

He described Obi’s rise as a temporary political moment, not a durable movement.

From Political Wave to Political Wreckage

Bwala concluded by describing Obi as an actor whose popularity was built on make believe rather than grassroots organisation.

As 2027 approaches, his comments intensify the debate over whether Peter Obi remains a serious political force or a fading symbol of a past election cycle.
