In a recent development, the House of Representatives has issued a summons to Yemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in relation to the decision to lift the forex ban on 43 previously restricted items.
These 43 items had been prohibited from accessing forex back in 2015.
The decision to summon the CBN governor was passed by the lower legislative chamber during a plenary session held on Tuesday.
The move followed the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance, which was sponsored by Sada Soli, a lawmaker representing Katsina.
