Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has urged the state’s residents to join his administration’s commitment to creating a cleaner Lagos.
He emphasized that achieving this vision requires innovative thinking and discipline.
In a statement posted on his verified Twitter account, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed the importance of collective efforts to clean up the city and reduce pollution.
He also mentioned that he appointed Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner of the Environment and Water Resources, based on his passion, pragmatism, and the necessary discipline required to address complex issues.
Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the collaborative efforts of various agencies, including the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), and the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), in their ongoing work to clean up Lagos.
