Suspended N'Central Nasarawa PDP Members Decamp To APC
Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State have sent their letters, withdrawing their membership from the party, days to the next round of elections.
The members said that they would head for the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing the performance record of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, who is seeking reelection, as reason for their defection, according to Daily Trust.

Elder Kassim Isa, Assistant Publicity Secretary of Yusuf Agabi Campaign Organisation, the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state and Dauda Haruna, the Moro Ward chairman of the PDP in Akwanga Local Government Area, signed separate letters to the party, announcing their defection from the PDP.
They are among the 45 members of the party suspended recently for working against the party’s interest.
But the state PDP spokesman, Yohanna Mark Neto, said the party was yet to receive any official communication from the defecting members, adding they were free to leave. He said their planned defection justified the party’s punitive measures against them. “They are only confirming the party’s suspicion that they were working against the party.
“They can’t even wait for the report of the committee that investigated them, they are leaving out of guilt.”
