President Bola Tinubu officially appointed Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Friday.
This significant announcement was made through a statement released by Willie Bassey, the Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Adeniyi assumed his new role starting from October 19, 2023.
President Tinubu has charged Adeniyi with leveraging his extensive experience to execute his duties effectively as he commences his tenure, in full compliance with the established regulations of the Public Service Rules (PSR).
It’s worth noting that Adeniyi had previously been serving in an acting capacity, having assumed the position following Hameed Ali’s departure in June.
