President Bola Tinubu delivered a message to his ministers on Friday, emphasizing the need for them to set aside personal ambitions and concentrate on the administration’s mission to alleviate poverty for 50 million Nigerians.

Speaking during the conclusion of a three-day cabinet retreat held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, which brought together ministers, presidential aides, permanent secretaries, and government officials, President Tinubu underscored the collective responsibility to change the narrative surrounding Nigeria.

He encouraged dialogue to address discrepancies and called for deeper collaboration between ministers and permanent secretaries.

Tinubu outlined several focus areas during the retreat, including economic reform, national security, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, education, and diversification through industrialization and technology.

The retreat also led to recommendations for early memo submissions, increased cooperation during Federal Executive Council meetings, the restoration of the FCT master plan, and more.

In a symbolic gesture, a performance bond was signed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari.
