====Incessant rain in the Southern Indian State of Kerala has left 22 people dead due to landslides and drowning and thousands marooned over the last 24 hours in Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts, the state’s disaster management control room has said.
More than 5,000 people have been rescued from villages in low-lying areas and housed in relief camps as teams from the National Disaster Response Force and the Indian Army continue to help local administrations in the rescue operations across the state.
