“You’ll get 50K for every night you spend in jail” – Fayose tells Ekiti electorate.
Following the move of the police to ensure safety in Ekiti during the forthcoming Ekiti Guber elections, and to put miscreants in jail, the present governor of the state, Ayodele Peter Fayose has enjoined the electorate not to be scared of going to jail.
According to Fayose who is bent on seeing his deputy succeed him as governor, for every night the electorate spend in jail, he is ready to compensate with the sum of N50,000.
The governor said this in a tweet sent out from his verified page on Monday night.
“Henceforth, anyone arrested illegaiby Fayemi and his rampaging police or DSS over this election issue will get 50K for every night spent in Detention” the governor tweeted.
The Ekiti state elections is scheduled for July 14th 2018, and the tension is high as police has deployed 30,000 policemen to the state for security reasons.
