The Board of AIICO Insurance Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Gbenga Ilori as an Executive Director of the company.
AIICO Insurance Plc made this announcement in an official statement obtained from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and shared with the public.
NAICOM approval
The appointment of Mr. Gbenga Ilori as an Executive Director received the necessary approval from the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
Mr. Gbenga Ilori is a highly experienced professional with a track record of over 20 years in various domains such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Strategy, and General Management.
He is a certified insurance practitioner known for his strong financial acumen and a passion for achieving success.
Gbenga Ilori originally joined AIICO Insurance Plc in November 2010, taking on the role of Group Head of Retail to oversee the retail business operations in both the Life and General insurance segments.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in reorganizing the agency network, enhancing the distribution of all retail products within AIICO, and establishing the annuity desk.
In April 2012, he was appointed Special Assistant to the Group Managing Director, where he made significant contributions to pioneering AIICO’s Microinsurance Business in 2014.
After leaving AIICO in 2020, he joined Coronation Life Assurance Limited as the Executive Director of Technical, overseeing various aspects of the company’s operations.
In 2022, Gbenga Ilori returned to AIICO to lead the Retail Business function and Agency Operations, further solidifying his commitment to the insurance industry and AIICO’s growth and development.
