The National Assembly which was slated to reconvene on Tuesday, August 14, according to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has been called off.
While speaking with PUNCH on Monday, the spokesman of the House of Representatives, Abdulrazak Namdas, disclosed that the National Assembly will not reconvene on Tuesday (tomorrow), contrary to public expectation.
Namdas added that the House in truth, had yet to decide on a reconvening date.
Recall that the Deputy Speaker of the House, Yussuff Lasun, had last week, announced that the National Assembly would reconvene on Tuesday (tomorrow) to consider the budget for the 2019 polls and other pending issues forwarded to lawmakers by President Muhammadu Buhari in July.
