Concedes Defeat: PDP Guber Candidate Congratulates Incumbent Governor In N'Central Kwara

The governorship candidate of Peoples Democractic Party (PDP), Senator Simeon Ajibola, and his running mate, ‎Alhaji Yinka Aluko, in the just-concluded governorship election in Kwara State have conceded defeat and congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate and incumbent governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, on his re-election.

 
During the election, Senator Ajibola polled‎ 115,220 votes while Alhaji Ahmed polled 295,832 votes.
 
Ajibola and Aluko who called the governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmed around 10.30 p.m on Sunday night conceded defeat and congratulated the governor on his electoral victory.
 
The duo also wished Ahmed a more‎ successful second term for the good people of the state.
 
Responding, Ahmed thanked them ‎and gave them his best wishes for the future.
 
Meanwhile, the governor-elect, Ahmed has dedicated his electoral victory to the good people of the state.
 
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin on his electoral victory, Ahmed said that, the development has also showed that the people of the state have joined the wind of change in the political development of the country.
 
He said that, his new tenure would usher-in more new delivery of dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of Kwarans.
 
Ahmed therefore said that, he would not victimize any people that worked against his re-election bid in the state as his administration would do everything possible to bring new lease of life to the teeming populace of the state irrespective of the people’s political difference.
