EFCC issues warning about impersonator on Facebook posing as Olukoyede

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a warning to the public regarding a Facebook user falsely claiming to be Ola Olukoyede, the chairman of the anti-graft agency.

The imposter has been advertising a telephone line, fraudulently representing it as Olukoyede’s “private line.”

Dele Oyewale, the head of media and publicity at EFCC, emphasized caution and urged vigilance among the public.

Efforts are underway to apprehend the impersonator, as stated in the Wednesday statement.

This caution follows the recent alert by EFCC regarding the increasing incidence of fraudsters swapping automated teller machine (ATM) cards of unsuspecting individuals across the country.
