JUST IN: EFCC Appoints Amokeodo As Magu’s Spokesperson

A former Sub-Assistant Editor of THE PUNCH, Tony Amokeodo, has been appointed the Senior Special Assistant to the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.

An English graduate of Lagos State University, Ojo, Amokeodo, with various professional courses in journalism, is expected to bring to bear his wealth of experience to effectively re-position the image of the EFCC.

When contacted by THE PUNCH, Ameokeodo said, “Yes, I have accepted the offer to work as the spokesperson for the EFCC chairman and I have since resumed duties.”

Until his appointment, the Ilesa, Osun State-born journalist was the immediate Editor of DAILY TIMES.

An experienced journalist spanning almost three decades, Amokeodo spent a great deal of his career at THE PUNCH Newspapers where he spent 16 years and rose to the position of Sub-Assistant Editor before joining the LEADERSHIP Newspapers in Abuja as the Group News Editor.
