Kebbi Verification C'ttee Discovers 6 Workers With Fake Certificates

 

The workers verification committee has discovered six workers of Birnin Kebbi Local Government of Kebbi State, with fake certificates, according to Daily Trust reports.

 

Governor Atiku Bagudu had set up verification committees in the 21 local government councils across the state. 

 

Acting sole administrator and director, personnel management of the LGC, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi Kamba, confirmed the discovery at the weekend, adding that the exercise is still ongoing.

 

“The verification exercise commenced last week Monday, with about seven departments. Many fraudulent activities were discovered. We found out that some workers used their brothers/friends certificate to secure appointment while and some are using fake certificates”, he said. 

 

Chairman of the verification committee, Ahmed Adamu, said “the ongoing exercise is for the benefit of workers and it is aimed at fishing out all those with fake certificates, ghost workers among others”.

 

He said all those discovered with fake certificates would not be paid, adding that at the end of the exercise, a report would be forwarded to the state government for necessary action.
