LAGOS GUBER LIVE UPDATE: Sanwo-Olu Wins Overwhelmingly Against Ambode Across Lagos

The election is a two-horse race between the incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Bola Tinubu’s anointed Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Recall that President Buhari met with Bola Tinubu and Bisi Akande last night over the party’s governorship primary election in Lagos.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of the state, at ward c, Alausa, Ikeja, on Tuesday.

Olanrewaju Yahaya, the electoral officer of announced that Sanwo-Olu polled 960 votes ahead of the governor who secured just four votes.

Voting has ended in Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA but some party members were locked outside, unable to participate.

11:00 At Ward C, Olusosun and Oregun people are currently collecting their membership cards.

10:02am At ward E Iyalla Street in Ikeja, policemen were seen blocking the entrance to that street and at the end of the street. Some were fully armed with guns while some were just with their batons.

Accreditation has commenced at Amuwo-Odifin LGA, Wards B1 and B2.

Ojuwoye Ward B2 still empty, but an official who gave his name as Ibrahim said the exercise will commence the moment election committee members arrive.

9: 30 According to Akinlabi Bamidele, councillor of the ward, “no serious voting today as the exercise already held yesterday with the presence of supervising INEC and APC officials”.
