BREAKING: Saraki Loses Senatorial Seat To APC Candidate

The All Progressives Congress, APC senatorial candidate, Dr Ibrahim Oloriegbe has won the PDP senator Bukola Saraki.

Oloriegbe of (APC) got 151,763 while Saraki of PDP got 87032 in Kwara Central Senatorial District.

The APC candidate had earlier told reporters his party was headed for a landslide victory against the PDP, saying the people of the state were tired of poor governance and corruption which he said the PDP represents in Kwara.

Saraki however won his own polling unit at Agbaji Quarters, Ajikobi Ward, Ilorin West LGA and also delivered for Atiku Abubakar.

Bukola Saraki from 2015 to 2019 served as one of Nigeria’s top 10 political leaders.

He was appointed the Senate President of the National Assembly despite significant corruption allegations against him from previous terms.

His family has been deeply rooted in Nigerian politics for several decades.

His sister, Gbemisola Saraki, is also a Senator.

In 2018, Bukola Saraki abandoned his personal presidential ambitions to join the ‘Atiku Abubakar for President’ campaign team.
