SARS Alleged Killing: Osun Assembly Aspirant, Rufai Adeniyi Condoles Victim’s Family

Following the alleged killing of Tunde Nafiu by men of the Nigeria Police Force, belonging to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), a young politician from Iwo, Alhaji Rufai Adeniyi Ismail popularly known as RAI has condoled with the victim’s family.

Adeniyi who is aspiring to represent the Iwo Local Government in the Osun State House of Assembly described the incident as a “devilish act” according to a statement he issued on Friday afternoon and obtianed by SKYTREND NEWS.

He describes the development as a “disturbing one” and urged the government authorities to quickly investigate the action and prevent future occurrence while making sure that justice prevails for the victim.

The statement reads, “It is with deep sense of loss that I receive the news of extra judicial killing of Tunde Nafiu by a trigger happy Special Anti robbery Squad (SARS) police officer. Nobody deserves to die on account of disagreement with law enforcement agents.”

“I see the development as a disturbing one if urgent action is not taken by the concerned authorities.”

“I hereby register my deep condolences to the families and friends of Tunde Nafiu. Ojo a jina sira oo.”

“To all the teeming youths and law abiding citizens of Iwoland and entire AYIWOLA, please bear in mind that we can only have a just society when we refuse to be pushed into lawlessness on account of inhumanity meted to one of us. While sharing in your grief, I want to urge you to be law abiding while you are demanding justice. I and my entire team are with you in this.”

“This is the time for all hands to be on deck in contributing our quota to the return of our society to the path of egalitarianism and justice. There should not be any sacred cow. The police authority must ensure that the development that led to the death of Tunde Nafiu is treated with utmost dispatch and justice.”

“RAI Foundation and my entire campaign team of RAI2019 Support Group prays that an end has come to all forms of evil in our land.”

Nafiu was said to have been killed on Thursday night on his way to Iwo from Oluponna on Thursday night.
