The Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has rendered its verdict, confirming the triumph of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who represents the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the election that took place on March 18th.
Headed by Justice C.H. Ahuchaogu and consisting of three members, the tribunal has dismissed the petition submitted by former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
In its ruling, the tribunal asserted that the petition lacked substantial evidence, emphasizing its deficiency in both merit and the presence of speculative claims.
Meanwhile, the ongoing judgments for cases involving the Labour Party (LP) versus PDP and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) versus PDP continue to be eagerly awaited.
