X3M ideas launches 'X-Pitchathon' competition to boost MSMEs

The Zambian branch of the Pan-African creative agency X3M Ideas has initiated a national competition called ‘X-Pitchathon’ to support and promote startups and MSMEs, as well as provide funding opportunities.

Competition Empowers Zambian Entrepreneurs

This competition, which began on August 29, 2023, in Lusaka, coincides with the 15th anniversary of X3M Ideas’ operations in Zambia.

According to the firm, X-Pitchathon aims to empower business owners by helping them access platforms, funding, and resources to develop and market their innovations and ventures.

To qualify for the competition, participants must be Zambians over 18 years old, have a startup or early-stage business, and possess a working business model, prototype, or minimum viable product.

Adenike Odutola, Managing Director of X3M Ideas Zambia, emphasized that the competition addresses the challenges faced by Zambian business owners, such as limited access to funding opportunities, valuable partnerships, and investor networks.

Steve Babaeko, the founder and CEO of X3M Ideas, highlighted the agency’s commitment to supporting startups, MSMEs, and innovators in finding opportunities and resources for growth through X-Pitchathon.
