The Benue State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has ruled in favor of Governor Hyacinth Alia, affirming his election victory.
The unanimous decision was announced by Justice Ibrahim Karaye, the Chairman of the three-member panel overseeing the case.
Justice Karaye emphasized that the petition in question pertained to pre-election matters.
Consequently, the Tribunal determined that it lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the suit, leading to the dismissal of the petition.
