In the midst of the controversy surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s educational qualifications, public affairs analyst Durojaiye Ogunsanya has stepped forward to disclose a surprising revelation regarding their joint academic journey at Chicago State University.
President Tinubu’s educational credentials have come under intense scrutiny, particularly from opposition parties eager to uncover any potential inconsistencies that could challenge his presidency.
Doubts have arisen concerning why the former Lagos State Governor could not identify any former classmates from his time at the institution, raising questions about the legitimacy of his attendance.
Atiku Abubakar’s legal action
The controversy escalated to an international level when former Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, initiated legal proceedings in the United States to gain access to Tinubu’s Chicago University records.
However, Durojaiye Ogunsanya, in an exclusive interview with TVC News, has shed light on this matter.
Ogunsanya has confirmed that both he and President Tinubu attended Chicago State University and graduated together in 1979.
During the interview, Ogunsanya remarked, “We crossed paths while studying at Chicago State University, where we were both enrolled in the College of Accounting Business and Administrative, with a major in Accounting.
We shared classrooms, and in 1979, we graduated together.”
He went on to clarify, “I am here with my diploma as concrete evidence for the world to see.
We graduated from the university side by side, and I am speaking out not for personal gain or favor but to set the record straight.”
