The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, was barred from entering the state house as he attempted to access his former office at the Government House in Benin, the state’s capital, on Monday morning.
Shaibu expressed his frustration, citing the lack of official communication from the governor’s office regarding his office relocation.
He stressed that proper channels should involve a formal letter outlining such directives.
Despite ongoing controversy, sources close to the governor revealed that Shaibu had already relocated his office to a new location outside the Government House.
Allegations also surfaced regarding the condition of the new office, which is said to require significant renovation.
The Edo State Governor has not yet issued an official response to the situation.
