Father Ejike Mbaka And President Jonathan: What Went Wrong?

 

Barely a month before Father Mbaka's December 31 declaration, the popular Enugu based cleric had endorsed Pres Jonathan's government for the next election, castigating his traducers and blaming the opposition and certain vested interests in regard to the present insecurity in the country and in particular the case of the Chibok girls. This was done in the presence of the First Lady, Dame Patience.

 

In less than a month, the cleric has made a 360 degree turn, blaming the President for the raging insecurity in the country, lack of employment for the teeming youth, corruption and other weighty allegations and finally asking for a change, an open endorsement for the the opposition candidate, Gen Buhari.

 

My question and I believe also that of millions of Nigerians: What has changed? What went wrong?
