The organizers of this year’s Lagos International Trade Fair have announced a strong focus on fostering intra-African trade under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

The Chairman of the Trade Promotion Board at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Leye Kupoluyi, revealed this during a press conference.

Africa Hall Project’ to unite businesses

The event will feature ‘The Africa Hall Project,’ bringing together African businesspeople from across the continent under one roof for ten days.

Kupoluyi emphasized that this initiative aligns with the chamber’s goal of boosting intra-African trade.

Nearly all 54 African countries have been invited, with discussions underway with numerous interested exhibitors.

The fair will include an entertainment village to acknowledge the creative and entertainment industry’s role in Nigeria’s economy.

In celebration of LCCI’s 135th anniversary, various specialized fairs will run concurrently during the ten-day event, including the LITF Tech Hub, showcasing techpreneurs in telecoms, software, and ICT innovation.

This larger-scale version of the annual ICTEL Expo and Conference aims to provide a platform for tech enthusiasts to shine at the Lagos International Trade Fair.
