The political landscape in Nigeria has intensified as the Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), namely Abdullahi Ganduje, Julius Abure, and Umar Damagum, convened at the Supreme Court earlier today.
Amidst an atmosphere of formalities and cordiality, they gathered in anticipation of the Supreme Court’s judgment on the appeals brought forth by the LP and PDP presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, challenging the victory of the APC candidate, President Bola Tinubu.
Prominent figures, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, accompanied the party leaders.
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, was represented by his lead counsel, Chris Uche SAN.
It’s worth noting that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal had previously dismissed the petitions filed by Atiku and Obi, concluding that they had not substantiated their claims of electoral irregularities and malpractice.
