Ernest Shonekan, former head of the interim national government, has been laid to rest.
Shonekan, who breathed his last on January 11, was buried in Lagos.
Dignitaries at the state funeral which held at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, included Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos; Yakubu Gowon, former military head of state, and his wife, Victoria; and former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Others included Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation, as well as Dapo Abiodun, Ogun governor, and his Edo counterpart, Godwin Obaseki.
