The 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has voiced apprehensions regarding the academic records of President Bola Tinubu.
Atiku’s concerns primarily revolve around the transparency of President Tinubu’s educational history, specifically in relation to Chicago State University.
In a statement conveyed through his Media Aide, Paul Ibe, Atiku alluded to the possibility that President Tinubu might be withholding undisclosed information about his academic background, particularly his time at Chicago State University.
While Atiku did not explicitly specify the nature of these concerns, he hinted at their potential significance, suggesting that their revelation should not come as a shock to Nigerians.
Tinubu’s academic records
“It should be now obvious even to the blind that Tinubu is hiding something in his records at Chicago State University, and even elsewhere,” remarked Paul Ibe. “I do hope whatever it may be, it will not be of a scope that will give Nigerians a heart attack.
Nigerians will soon see the true position of Atiku on the records of Tinubu at CSU. It is just a matter of time.”
These remarks by Atiku Abubakar were prompted by a legal motion initiated by President Bola Tinubu.
This motion challenges an order from the Northern District of Illinois that mandates Chicago State University to release President Tinubu’s academic records within a strict two-day timeframe.
As the controversy surrounding President Tinubu’s academic records continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how this development will impact the political landscape in Nigeria and the forthcoming presidential elections in 2023.
